One down! But know I’m working on each of the other books; just not enough to finish any of them. I wish there was more to report for MizB’s WWW .
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading: The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson came in and I’ve been able to make more progress on it. I don’t think I’ll finish it again before it’s due, but I’ve made a lot of progress. I finished the next section of The Maze Runner by James Dashner and I’m not sure how I picked such a cliffhanger of a stopping point but DANG. I can’t wait to keep going. On audiobook I’m listening to The Sandcastle Girls by Chris Bohjalian. My carpool buddy is on vacation so I’m plowing through this on my commute. I think I’m a little over half way and I’m loving it. Since carpool buddy is on vacation, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley is on hold this week. My physical book at the moment is an ARC; O, Africa! by Andrew Lewis Conn. I’m only reading it at lunch so I’m making slow progress but I’ll take it on vacation this weekend and see what I can do. Yes, that’s right, I’m going on vacation! We’re taking the bus so I’ll have plenty of time to read.
Recently finished: With the push of having to make this update, I stayed up and finished reading my NaNo last night! Woooo. Nothing to add to my Goodreads challenge, but hey! I did review The Geography of Memory by Jeanne Murray Walker but that’s all.
Reading Next: As my book club doesn’t meet until August, I might have time for something in between. I want to concentrate on finishing O, Africa! next, but there could be one more ARC in line. On audio, I have Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser on reserve at the library. Stay tuned!
Let’s see if I can finish my audiobook by next week. What are your three Ws? Leave a comment and let me know and check out the original post on MizB’s blog!
Until next time, write on.

I thought that The Maze Runner was a really fun read! I might have to re-read this book and continue on with the series.
I also need to re-read my first draft of my NaNo. I’m going to begin writing draft 2.5 pretty soon (a lot needs to be re-worked, even in the first half of my second draft).
I hope that you have a wonderful week of reading.

I’m hoping that my second draft is good enough to start showing to my critique partners. I’ve refused to show it to them yet because of how much work the initial draft needed. They’re pestering me for it so that should keep me motivated.
Good luck editing!

Thanks. Revising has been quite difficult, but I’m determined to have something to show critique partners sometime soon (when I get them).
Like you, my first draft needed SO much work. It was pretty scary, actually haha.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could all publish what came out of our brains? Editing is the most intimidating part of writing.

Oh goodness yes! I know what I want my novel to be about, the tone I want it to have, etc. But changing what I wrote during NaNo, is so tedious and kind of discouraging.

Looks like you’re reading some great titles. Be warned…I couldn’t eat fast food for more than a year after reading Fast Food Nation. Powerful stuff. Here’s what I’m up to this week. https://alenaslife.wordpress.com/2014/06/11/w-w-w-wednesday-14/

I’m not big on a lot of fast food, so I’m hoping it’s not too detrimental to my eating habits. Though I do enjoy some Taco Bell!
Happy Reading.

So far I’m really loving it. Bohjalian is a very talented story teller and I know this is a story close to his heart. It shows in the writing.

It dragged a bit but I’m really getting into it now. It’s a very different style and structure from most books but Johnson does it well.

‘Brave New World’ has been on my ‘reading next’ list for so long and somehow I never get to it. I feel like the summer is always a season in which books drag on comfortable but aren’t ever finished! Looks like some great books!

It’s interesting, I’ll say for sure. It wasn’t my choice but I’m still enjoying it.

It’s a really quick read if you can find a copy. If it weren’t for the pacing of this Read-Along, I’d be finished ages ago!

So far I’m a big fan of the story. Not so much the writing, but the story is very fast paced and gripping!
