Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at Should be Reading and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading: I’m getting through La Sombra del Viento by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. I’ve been focusing on this as my main book but I think I’m getting a new book club selection tonight so that might change soon.
Good progress with A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin. People are dying and things are getting crazy so I wonder if I’m close to the end? Rob’s put together an army and I think this battle is going to be slightly climactic. I wish these PlayAway MP3s made it easier to figure out where I am in the story!
Slow progress with Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. I finished part 1 and I was hoping part 2 would catch my attention more but no luck so far. I’ll carry on slowly.
I’m enjoying my phone audiobook, Harry, a History by Melissa Anelli so far. Reviews I’ve read say that this is more of her story with Harry and not so much a history of the series so I’ll see what I think.
Recently finished: Nope, nothing new this week. Oh well. The up and down of finishing books continues. And no reviews this past week. I’m really letting you guys down…
Reading Next: Still planning on it being A Widow for One Year by John Irving. I want to sink my teeth into this soon because I’m itching to read it, but I’m not sure it will come my way at a good time.
Leave a comment with your link and a comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.
You can follow me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!

Unfortunately, lots of craziness and people dying in A Game of Thrones is, in my experience, no indication of getting near the end! It just carries on like that! 😉
I found Cloud Atlas slow going too. Good to hear you’re nearly there with La Sombra del Viento. 🙂

I guess I’ll have to just rack up the GoT bodies till the end! In really enjoying the ride. ‘Cloud Atlas’ is finally picking up for me. Though I tend to read ebooks very slowly so I don’t expect to finish it any time soon. I’m less than 100 pages from the end of Sombra and I really want to finish it soon! Happy Wednesday!

The GoT series seems to involve a lot of dead main characters all the time, so I guess that’s no surprise… I’ve read the first four books so far and I’m probably moving to the fifth within the next month or so. I like the story in general, but I find it hard to stay focused for a long time with so many storylines and characters. I’ve read the last two books chapters at the time in between other reads…
Happy reading! Here’s my WWW.

If these aren’t audiobooks, I’m not sure I’ll get through them. They make for great driving reads, though. Fighting rush hour traffic during a battle scene on my way home today was great! Happy Wednesday!

That definitely sounds entertaining! An audiobook version of this series sounds like a great way to finish this series.

I have started experimenting with different formats to help with reading slumps. I especially like to listen to the classics via audio-book. It is amazing how different formats are easier to get through than another. Your list reminded me to update my audio-book TBR list.

Agh this is the second week I haven’t managed to find time to post. Maybe for next week I’ll set something up ahead of time…
I’m sorry you’re not liking Cloud Atlas, but at least you like the other books you’re reading. I know that lack of enjoyability can drag out my reading of a book, especially when I’m not on a deadline with it.

Very true. As much as I hear that it picks up, it doesn’t seem to be and I’m getting impatient!
