Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at Should be Reading and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

IMG_1384-0

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

SenseCurrently reading:  Still hovering at 80% in Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. Thanksgiving didn’t give me a lot of eBook time.
Nothing with I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai (still).
I made a lot of progress with Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. I’ve started to care about the characters a lot more and I’m hoping to finish this weekend. It’s hard for me to read a lot of this in one sitting so I read a little bit as often as I can.
Still on pause with Animal Farm by George Orwell.
I’m worried I might not finish All The Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr before I have to return it. I’ve got it for a few days still, but I’m not yet 75% of the way through! I’ll have to tighten down on listening to it while I do my stretches and cook. I hope that will be enough!

Recently finished: I can’t remember the last time I reported nothing finished for two weeks in a row. This is such a downer.

100 yearsReading Next: Still not change. I’m really excited to start Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel after all the wonderful things I’ve been hearing about it. You guys are getting me to finish Austen as fast as possible!
I hope to be in the middle of One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez by Christmas. I think that would give me enough time to finish it before my book club meets to talk about it.

Leave a comment with your link and a comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.

Have any opinions on these choices?

Until next time, write on.

You can follow me on GoodreadsFacebookTwitterPinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!

I am glad you are making progress with Sense and Sensibility! It’s not my favourite Austen (I am more of a Pride and Prejudice/Emma person) but I do still like it! I hope you get to the end of All the Light We Cannot See!

Is it crazy that I’m dying for you to finish Cloud Atlas? I am rooting for you! You’re so close! 🙂 I felt the same way about Sense & Sensibility; I couldn’t read extended passages like I can with most other books. I hope you make more progress through your classics this week!

Hello! I recently tried out this meme. You could check it out here: https://rainandcheese.wordpress.com/2015/12/02/www-gunslingers-wizards-and-thieves/

Anyway, I tried reading Sense and Sensibility a few years ago and couldn’t get pass the first page. I loved Pride & Prejudice and Persuasion but I can’t seem to read this one completely. I’m glad you’re making progress and I hope you finish it soon. Go go go!

Animal Farm is pretty neat too. I found it depressing but a really thoughtful read. Hope you finish that one as well.

Station Eleven is a brilliant novel, you’re in for a treat with that. I wish I could read it again for the first time, I loved it so much. I really must try and read All The Light We Cannot See soon, I know I’ll enjoy it but I just haven’t had time to read my own books recently. I hope you get time to finish it before it’s due back.

I love the Sense and Sensibility movie from the 90s but I have to confess I have never read the book. I, um, have not even actually read Pride and Prejudice. I have read Emma twice, though, so that counts for something, right?

Hi! I just discovered WWWWednesday a couple of days ago and think it’s a great idea so hope it’s ok for me to join in. I know what you mean about Sense and Sensibility – it didn’t have the same pull for me as P&P although after I saw the film adaptation in the 90s I read it again almost straight through in one go. I’ve read Animal Farm and like it a lot; I think “All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others” was one of the most influential sentences I read when I was growing up. I haven’t read I am Malala but your reference has prompted me to add it to my waiting list so thanks for that. My WWWWednesday is http://indie-bookworm.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/www-wednesday-1.html and thanks again for hosting this great sharing page.

    Hi Sam,

I had the same problem surrounding the Thanksgiving weekend. I was really hoping to get some quality time in with the book and it just didn’t happen. Are you a big Jane Austen fan? Honestly, I really don’t like her, so I’ve never read Sense and Sensibility. How is it compared to Pride and Prejudice?
