Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: You guys, the worst thing ever happened. I lost my hold on The Book of Speculation by Erika Swyler! I’m so mad. I put in a request for an inter-library loan for the physical copy and I’m hoping it comes in soon so I can devour the rest of this book. Ugh!
A Son of the Circus by John Irving has got me down. I usually find something in an Irving novel that moves it along for me, but not so far in this one. I’m not reading it much in my down time because I’m so bored with it. Maybe it will pick up? Maybe I’m overly optimistic?
I’m really getting into Terra Incognita by Ruth Downie. I don’t remember too much from the first book but I don’t really need to and I’m still enjoying this book. I think I’ll finish it pretty fast with all the driving and running I’m doing this week!
Recently finished: Again, nothing! Boo long books! I’m so cyclical with books now, I’m either finishing them all or in the middle of them all, haha. I hope to have ‘Speculation’ here next week!
Reading Next: It will be The Circle by Dave Eggers! I’ve been sneaking pages as I walk past my book shelf, but I’m not counting it as started yet. I can’t wait to read this one and go see the movie! I hope I can get through it really fast.
Leave a comment with your link and a comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.
You can follow me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!
I haven’t read any of these, but I hope you manage to get The Book of Speculation again. Enjoy! Here’s MY WWW POST

I love my library but it is so frustrating when you lose a hold or have to return a book you haven’t finished. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.

I’ve had The Circle sitting in my cloud for ages! I figure I probably won’t get to see the movie until it hits Netflix or something like that, though, so I should have time to get around to reading it 😉

Sorry about losing the hold on The Book of Speculation and that the John Irving book is disappointing. Terra Incognita sounds good though!!

Noo! Hate it when you lose a hold. I hope the ILL comes in for you soon. Terra Incognita sounds interesting. I haven’t read anything by that author but I have read some of the Marcus Didius Falco books by Lindsey Davis, which it sounds kind of similar to.

That’s the problem with library ebooks, they automatically return. No late fees, but you can get cut off very suddenly. Happy reading!

I haven’t read A Son of the Circus, but I’ll bet it never picks up. But in my experience with Irving, either he grabs me (Cider House Rules) or he doesn’t (Hotel New Hampshire).
And it’s disappointing, isn’t it? After watching Feud: Bette and Joan on FX, I was inspired to pick up a biography of Olivia deHavilland and Joan Fontaine by Charles Higham. Mistake! Somehow he made three Oscars, five husbands and life on three continents boring.
So instead I’ve got a light, cozy mystery and an intense biography.

I was almost grabbed last night but fell asleep before I could be sure about it, haha. I’m sorry the biography was a disappointment. A cozy mystery sounds like just what the doctor ordered. Happy reading!

I hope you can get a copy of The Book of Speculation soon so you can finish it. I’m similar to you at the moment in that I either finish lots of books in a week that I’ve been reading for a while, or I’m still in the middle of the same books from the previous week. I’m currently trying to make myself finish the books I have on the go now before I start any others but it’s tough! I have The Circle on my TBR too and really want to read it soon. I hope you enjoy it.
