Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!IMG_1384-0

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.

Currently reading: As expected, I made small progress with The Color Purple by Alice Walker. Work has picked up a bit and my lunches are being encroached on bit by bit while things even out after the new year. Maybe a week or so until I get things back to normal.
Steady progress with A Widow for One Year by John Irving as well. I’m enjoying the story and it’s rather typical of Irving. That’s a mixed bag because I know I’m going to like it but I’m not surprised at the same time.
I’ve started How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie on audio. This is actually a really good one for audio because it’s easy to tune in and out and start and stop and still learn from it. There are a lot of stories and vignettes so there’s a lack of a consistent plotline and the main points are reiterated often. When I have to concentrate on running not to slip or freeze, it’s nice to be able to tune out when needed.
I just started Harry Potter y las Reliquias de la Muerte by J.K. Rowling as well. This will mark my second full re-read of the series and all in Spanish. I’ve been working on this for years so I’m really excited to be on the last book!

Recently finished: I’ve just finished Please Look After Mom by Kyung-Sook Shin and I’m still processing it. I liked the book until the final chapter when I slowed down reading it a lot because I felt disappointed. It was a sad story to be sure. I look forward to talking to my book club about it.

Reading Next: Right now, I have no plans and that’s probably for the best. I’m not near finishing most of my reads and I don’t want to consider what’s going to change in the next few days. I’ll see what I’m in the mood for when the time comes
