30 Jun

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.

Currently reading: Oh geeze. Yet another week without any progress in Lateral Thinking by Edward de Bono. Maybe I should stop predicting I can make progress in it at all.
I’ve put The Hangman’s Replacement: Sprout of Disruption by Taona Dumisani Chiveneko aside since my Reading Buddy and I are on a new section of the Towles. I’m sure I’ll get back to it soon.
I’m powering through the third part of A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles. My Reading Buddy is nervous that we won’t finish before Baby is born so I’m trying to focus on it as much as possible!
I think I’m finally getting into the plot of New York 2140 by Kim Stanley Robinson. Thirteen hours in isn’t exactly when I was hoping I’d get sucked in, but better late than never, right?

Recently finished: Three weeks in a row here is rough. I know I’ll eventually finish something, but it’s seeming so far away.

Reading next: I’ll get to Dollface by Renee Rosen one day!

Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.

Have any opinions on these choices?

Until next time, write on.

Glad that you are making progress on A Gentleman in Moscow. I read New York 2140 a while ago and it took me a while to get into it. Definitely a good read in the end though. My current reads for this week are here https://devoil.wordpress.com/2021/06/30/www-wednesday-4/

It’s a race in time between A Gentleman of Moscow and your baby. Your reading buddy’s nervousness that the baby will come before the book is finished made me smile.

Here’s hoping that you and that Gentleman from Moscow finish in time!

This week, I’ve got supernatural, modern chick-lit, balanced out by a classic supernatural romance.

Every time I take a step back from blogging because of life or whatever and I come back I am always thankful for this weekly post – I cannot tell you why but it is my magical doorway back into the habit of posting! So, I wouldn’t worry too much about not finishing any books in a few weeks you are always working on it which is not something I can say.

Also, kudos to you for keeping with the audiobook. Honestly, 13 hours is a long book for me in total. Not being absorbed in a book until then?? I can’t imagine!

    Have a great week!
