Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I wish I could say I read something from The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson but I’d be lying. I did have a great week with Baby, so I’m not complaining!
Nothing more in True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I think we’re close to sleeping in different rooms so maybe I’ll be able to get a few pages each night once that happens. But I’m not rushing it, I love having all of us in one room!
I made progress in The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott during my runs. Though, I do plan to slow those down a bit now that my Turkey Trot is over (it went great, by the way!). I still think audio will be my fastest format, but maybe not as fast as it was before.
Recently finished: Nothing new here this week but I’m not surprised. I’ll get some more books finished eventually.
I published my review of The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda on Monday so please check that out when you get a minute. I enjoyed it and gave the book Four out of Five Stars.
Reading next: I’m fairly certain I wont’ finish my reading challenge this year, but I’ll try! I’ll plan on picking up Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie as my next book. If I don’t finish it until after the new year, I’ll consider it a jump start on my 2022 challenge!
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

My book group read that Peter Carey book but it was while I was in law school and not able to complete every selection. Should I try it again?

The book that most satisfied me this week was the audio of Happiness for Beginners by Katherine Center which I listened to while commuting to work. Recommended!

I’m liking it so far. It’s been such slow going with the Baby that I don’t remember what I’m reading very well but I do like the style he’s using. I think it’s worth a shot. Happy reading!

Hoorah for having a great week with baby! Progress is important with reading, not just the end and I love your mentality about that. It makes coming here when I haven’t read much so welcoming. Thank you for that!

Slow reading is always welcome! You’re just taking the time to savor the journey. Happy reading!

Yay for good week with baby! The whole of my November seems to have been slower book wise and I think the fact that nap time is pretty much over and that he wants constant play attention is to blame! They are only small for such a short time though that I don’t really mind!

Agreed! We’ve given up naps being held which is great and sad at the same time. I miss the cuddles. Happy reading!

Even if my son naps now (which is very rare seeing as he is 3) he still sleeps on me! We never made cot naps…

Honestly, I would absolutely count the children’s books. I like my Goodreads because it reminds me of the books I read which, in turn, trigger the memory of what I was doing at the time. I know there is a special way to put them on your shelf so that they don’t count towards your yearly goal, if you want to do that. Reading is reading!
Yeah for the run! I am always in awe of people that run and love to run. I have done it off and on through the years and taken all the tips but finally concluded it is just not for me. Enjoy yourself!

I guess I was vague in my wording because I want to track them, just not count toward my goal for the year. I created a shelf, I’ve just been horrible at updating it. Happy reading!
