Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I hope I still remember where I am in The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson when I can pick it up again. I was enjoying this one and I’d hate to feel lost in it.
I think I read two pages from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I’ll get to it eventually.
I made some good progress in The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott with a doctor’s appointment I had. It was far away and I had to make a long detour on the way home so this one is actually making some good progress!
Many of you expressed interest in me talking about the children’s books I read Baby each week. I’m trying to think of the best way to incorporate this so stay tuned!
Recently finished: I’m sure there will be something here eventually!
Reading next: It’s looking like Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie might be my first book of 2022 instead of my final one of 2021. Nothing wrong with that! Though, I will be a bit sad not to have finished my reading challenge for the first time. There are other priorities this year, though!
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.
You can follow me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!
I can’t recall reading much of anything at all when mine was that little! Now he’s bigger than I am, though, so it does get easier.
Here’s mine for this week : https://wellreadpiratequeen.blogspot.com/2021/12/www-wednesday-15-december-2021.html

At least getting time to listen to your audiobook gave a silver lining to an otherwise frustrating road diversion.

I think we’re all lucky if we can find time to read anything in the run-up to Christmas – shopping, preparing for guests (Covid permitting), etc. Hopefully the time between Christmas and New Year, when the pressure is off a little, will allow us all to relax with our books.

How cool that Ghosts of Eden Park is your “doctor’s office” book. I dropped a book into my bag before I got in the VERY long line to get my first vaccination shot, and whenever I see the book now I flash back to that day and I’m glad I had it for company.
I’ve got nothing but Christmas chick lit this week:

Yay for making progress on books. I won’t reach my reading goal this year but there is always next year!
My bookstagram account was originally a fun way of showing what I library books I was reading to my baby (now 3 year old). Since the pandemic we haven’t been to a library so it has turned into a more serious book account, however I still do the odd Toddler Reads posts. My blog also contains ‘what my toddler recommends’ posts and I am planning on doing a page with books that he likes (if that helps you at all!).
Happy reading!

Thank you! We haven’t taken Baby to the library yet so all our books would be ones we own all far. I’m afraid it will get repetitive quickly. Did you have that issue?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Of course! I forget how long covid has been around. Babies love repetition apparently. My son has loads of books, but he will go for the same ones over and over again. The only person that gets bored is you! Every birthday and Christmas (he is 3 so this will be his 4th Christmas) we ask for books so we have built up a fair few. Have you tried The Gutenberg Project? There are free books that you can print out from there but they are the classics like Alice in Wonderland and The Fairy Books.

We haven’t tried that yet, thank you! When we finally get through our baby shower books, that will be a great place to turn. We also asked for books for Christmas for them! Great way to build up a variety. Happy reading!

No problem. I’ve only just discovered it myself in the past year.
Exactly and a book is a lovely gift in my opinion!
Same to you and baby!

It’s funny how places where you have to sit around for a while (appointments, bus journeys) are actually great for reading. Good luck finishing your books!

It is great that an annoying stituation like a detour can be some much better when listening to an audiobook – almost always have one on the go.
