What did you recently finish reading?

Currently reading: I keep moving forward a page at a time with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. It feels like Baby wakes up the second I open it. Maybe next week?
I’ve chipped away at True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey, too. I don’t want to sacrifice sleep too much to read yet, but it does feel nice to make some forward progress.
We had more snow so I was listening to Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie while I shoveled. I’m about 2/3 done and I’m hoping I find a time other than snow shoveling to finish it!

Recently finished: I thin I’ll finish my ebook next. We’ll see.

91tzXN8Fp0LReading next: I’m hopeful that next week I’ll have started A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman. It seems like it will be a quick read so I’m excited about this.
If audio goes faster than expected, Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati will be the next book I start. I’m ready for the long haul with this one!

Ghost

Currently reading: I finished a chapter in The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson but nothing to brag about. I want to get back to it soon since there was a really surprising end to that chapter! Hopefully soon.
The transition to having Baby sleep in the nursery is going well! I’ve been able to read some of True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey a few nights before going to sleep. It’s slow progress, but after months of nothing, it feels wonderful.
Not much with Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie this week. There wasn’t snow to shovel and it’s too icy to run so I’m slowing down here. I’m sure I’ll find time to pick it up again, just nothing immediate.

Recently finished: Nothing again. I’m a bit up in the air what the next book I finish will be!

51FUsCV0vdLReading next: I do think I’ll need an ebook next so A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman seems a likely pick. It will be fun to have a thriller/horror book. It’s been a while since I enjoyed one.
Despite my intimidation, I’m determined to pick up Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati. I think I’m ready for the long-term commitment!

Currently reading: I made the slightest progress with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson this week. We’re adjusting to some new parts of Baby’s schedule and it’s given us some sleepless nights and long days but we’re getting there!
We’re trying Baby sleeping in the nursery so I’m optimistic I might get back to True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey soon. Even a few pages before bed would be amazing.
The snow this week helped me make progress in Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie. Listening to an audiobook makes shoveling the sidewalk a little less miserable! (Though I still don’t love it.)

Recently finished: Waiting patiently.

91tzXN8Fp0LReading next: I’ve still got A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman next up for an ebook.
My plan is to listen to Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati next but I’ll honestly say I’m intimidated by how long it is! I’m so slow on audio right now that this is a major commitment!

Kelly

Currently reading: I fell off this week with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. Things were a little nuts with bad weather and a fussy baby so we’re just surviving now and that’s fine.
Again, nothing with True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I was so tired this week that I’m not surprised picking up a book to read for five minutes wasn’t on my agenda. I’ll get to it eventually I’m sure.
I did make a bit of progress in Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie. I took Baby to visit a friend who is due soon and it was a bit of a drive each way. Baby was babbling but otherwise happy and I turned on the audio to keep me entertained. We were both fine with the arrangement.

Recently finished: Nothing again. I’m sure I’ll get there soon, but I’m in no rush.

51FUsCV0vdLReading next: If I need an ebook next as I suspect, I’ll grab A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman.
However, I’m starting to think I might get to an audiobook sooner since I’ve slowed down so much on my ebook reading. Next on the docket for me is a long haul, Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati. It’s been about three years since I read the first book in this series and I enjoyed the story and was frustrated when I learned it wasn’t a standalone book. I’m hoping the second in the series will provide a more satisfactory ending.
