Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I fell off this week with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. Things were a little nuts with bad weather and a fussy baby so we’re just surviving now and that’s fine.
Again, nothing with True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I was so tired this week that I’m not surprised picking up a book to read for five minutes wasn’t on my agenda. I’ll get to it eventually I’m sure.
I did make a bit of progress in Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie. I took Baby to visit a friend who is due soon and it was a bit of a drive each way. Baby was babbling but otherwise happy and I turned on the audio to keep me entertained. We were both fine with the arrangement.
Recently finished: Nothing again. I’m sure I’ll get there soon, but I’m in no rush.
Reading next: If I need an ebook next as I suspect, I’ll grab A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman.
However, I’m starting to think I might get to an audiobook sooner since I’ve slowed down so much on my ebook reading. Next on the docket for me is a long haul, Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati. It’s been about three years since I read the first book in this series and I enjoyed the story and was frustrated when I learned it wasn’t a standalone book. I’m hoping the second in the series will provide a more satisfactory ending.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

A 19th century female doctor? Where The Light Enters looks promising.
My books this week are all female focused: a biography of an icon, a woman’s eye view of divorce, and a thriller about a mom who faces danger head on as she attempts to protect her kids.

Oh, I get so frustrated when a truly excellent book gives me a cliffhanger ending and surprises me with a series. I don’t mind going in but I don’t like the feeling of peering and the number of pages left and wondering how they will all tie it together only to find out – they weren’t! Hopefully the second book skips that trick.
Enjoy your week!

All reading progress is good reading progress when dealing with a fussy baby. And surviving is very important. 🙂

My reading is going a bit slower too because of school but there’s no need to finish a book every week, as long as we enjoy what we’re reading.

Glad that the car journey was fine and the audio book helped 😂 I’ve had a fussy toddler this week and for maybe about the last year or so 😂. I was hoping terrible 2s kept to the year but alas no 😂 luckily my partner takes him to bed and I get to do my reading in secret! If I didn’t I would only be reading his books and none of mine would get read 🤣😂
Here is my WWW this week!
Happy reading 😊

They do have pretty pictures…yeah we had a couple of instances of that – why?! He has always been a fussy eater, but a book (or a TV controller) is fine! My son still likes to rush through then wants me to read it again!!
