I’m back for the third year of the WHEN ARE YOU READING? challenge! If you did this before, welcome back! If you’re new, welcome! Let me know if you have any questions or feel free to make up your own answers.

  • The complete challenge will include 12 books from the following eras:
    • Pre 1500
    • 1500-1599
    • 1600-1699
    • 1700-1799
    • 1800-1899
    • 1900-1919
    • 1920-1939
    • 1940-1959
    • 1960-1979
    • 1980-1999
    • 2000-Present
    • The Future

‘Rules’

  • Determination of what year a book belongs in is the decision of the participant. On the whole, choose a year where the largest part of the action occurs or the most important event.
  • I will compile a list of those participating on this page but you must link back to this page to be added to the list so that other participants can find us!

If you want to see examples, you can see my Challenge page for an idea of how to start.

So wish I could join in but these days I fall asleep before I can even finish a page much less a whole book. Sounds like a great challenge though

Thank you. I love reading before bed because it puts me to sleep. But it does make it hard to finish a long book haha. Happy reading!

I’m going to join if only to continue encouraging myself to try and read more diversely. Also, I did enjoy some of the books I read for the challenge last year.

I wan’t going to do any challenges this year because I’m still tired from last year. However, yours piqued my interest so I now have one. I just keep a really simple list of the dates and put the books I read next to them with a link to the review.

I’m gonna give this a go! I might not have 100% unique titles between this and a few of the other challenges I’m doing, but I’ll probably have several eras with multiple books by the end of it. It’ll work… http://thelaurenest.com/2016-reading-challenges/

Is it too late to join the challenge? I need to read more in 1900 to 1999 sections so this would be a great challenge for me 🙂

Awesome! I struggle with the earlier sections the most. Best of luck!

I think I’m going to add this to the challenges I’m doing this year! I probably would’ve read from 1700 on anyway, but I’ll have to specifically seek out something for the first few. Great challenge.
