Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently reading: I made some slight progress on The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles. Being back at work has me really tired so my progress is still slow as I get my footing under me again. I hope this will pick up soon.
I started the ebook of The Last Chairlift by John Irving and I’m not too enthralled so far. I’ve read a lot of Irving and he can be a bit repetitive so I’m trying to figure out what’s unique in this novel. Still working on it.
I sped through some audiobooks this week so I’ve just started Bacchanal by Veronica G. Henry. It’s a fun mix of supernatural and historical so far, a little reminiscent of Libba Bray’s The Diviners and I’m liking that so far.
Recently finished: I made some great progress this week! I finished the ebook of The Family Outing by Jessi Hempel which I really enjoyed. I thought I was burned out on memoirs but this one was a good way to finish that stretch. Tentative Four out of Five Stars for now.
I finished up A Brief History of Fascist Lies by Federico Finchelstein, too. As the title implies, it was very brief. I didn’t enjoy this one. I think it’s a combination of subject and narration that I’ll get more into when I write my review but it just didn’t work for me. Two out of Five Stars for now.
I also got through a short audiobook of Paradise by Laura Maria Censabella. It was so short I’m waffling on if I’ll do a review. I did enjoy the story a lot, though. I gave it Four out of Five Stars. But with the short run time, I’m not sure how much I have to write up in a review.
Reading next: I’m not going to make a plan just now. My audiobook and ebook are early enough on that I’ll be shocked if I finish anything this week.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not enthralled by The Last Chairlift so far. I’ve been having similar issues with books this week.

I can’t believe how much reading you get done, considering you have young children and are back at work. Impressive.

I really need to knuckle down and write some reviews but the good weather here in the UK and the demands of my garden are proving a distraction. I can read in the garden but not write reviews!

Good luck with the John Irving. I gave up on him several novels ago, and at over 900 pages, you’ll not find me going down his rabbit holes for this one.

My reading list continues to grow, especially now that the library is holding its annual used book sale. Thanks for your suggestions above. I’ve been reading a “series of series books” and am currently reading Raise the Titanic! by Clive Cussler. The tension throughout keeps me reading.
I usually read two or more books a week (and post to my Goodreads list). While mysteries are my go-to genre, I recently read a children’s humorous and inspirational book, Saving Hambone’s Bacon by Julia Pace. The story and illustrations are entertaining.
Next up on my bookshelf are The Disappeared by C.J. Box (one of my favorite authors); Hunter’s Moon by Randy Wayne White; and Playmates by Robert B. Parker (the only book in the original Spenser series I didn’t have but popped up at the book sale.
