Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I’ve been able to move through The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles a little bit. I’m about a hundred pages in, which is 100 more than I thought I’d get by now! Slowly, slowly I’ll get there. I’m hoping there’s a big incident soon that pulls me in.
I’m nearly done with The Family Outing by Jessi Hempel! I’m shocking myself. I’ve been reading as the baby falls asleep, about 15 minutes at night, and it’s helped me speed through it so well! I’m loving this routine.
I”ll probably wrap up A Brief History of Fascist Lies by Federico Finchelstein soon. I’ve got a commute today and I’ve been finding other pockets to get through this pretty quickly so I’m feeling really good about the progress!
Recently finished: I wrapped up This Book Betrays My Brother by Kagiso Lesego Molope late last week. I have no idea when I’ll get to the review now that I’m back at work, so that’s the big mystery. I was a little let down by this book’s structure and I plan to get more into that in my review. I’m giving it Two out of Five Stars, though I won’t call that final until after the full review is written.
Reading next: Shockingly, I think I need to start making plans. My reading has really started to get it’s groove back lately! For an audiobook, I’m going to listen to Paradise by Laura Maria Censabella. It’s a play and will probably be a quick listen. I didn’t write a review for the last play I listened to and I’m not sure if I will this time. They’re so short and without the visual of the set and performers, it doesn’t feel like much to review!
I’ll need a new ebook soon, too. I’m going to go all-in and see if I can get The Last Chairlift by John Irving. I’ll probably appreciate having this 900 pager as an ebook instead of lugging it around.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

I am curious about Paradise.

The Last Chairlift sounds good, I think it was recommended to me a while back. I didn’t realize it was 900 pages though.

A 900 pager, even as an ebook, is quite an undertaking!
