Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I’m finding five minutes here and there to squeeze in some of The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles but I’m only two chapters in so far. This is a long one and I anticipate it taking a while. I’m fine with that, honestly.
I completely changed up my next books from what I planned on. I didn’t expect to need two so soon! I started The Family Outing by Jessi Hempel as a ebook. Maybe I just need at least one non-fiction at a time, haha.
I also needed a new audiobook and I started This Book Betrays My Brother by Kagiso Lesego Molope. This was a free download from the library and I’ve found these to be hit or miss so still hoping this one goes well!
Recently finished: I got into a rhythem so I could finish Good Inside by Becky Kennedy. The later chapters weren’t as applicable to my toddler so I struggled with them a bit, but there was some good material for me to try out as well. I don’t know when I’ll find time for reviews, but this is first on the list.
I surprised myself by finishing Running is a Kind of Dreaming by J.M. Thompson as well! I hadn’t realized I was close to the end. I think this was a good time in my life to read this one so I’m glad I got to it when I did. Review may be a while since I’m now backlogged!
Reading next: No idea. Every time I plan it falls through and I won’t need something for a while so I’ll give myself a break from planning.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

So much inspiration here. I’m still thinking about putting Running Is A Kind of Dreaming into my TBR – I’ll wait for your review.

Well done on finishing two books this week and I’m glad that you found something useful in the later chapters of Good Inside. Here’s my WWW post for this week https://witchyreading.wordpress.com/2024/05/22/www-wednesday-may-22/

I think the ‘plan’ to have no plan for your next book is a good one given everything you have going on. Review backlogs are ugh… I have one more to write before I’m up-to-date.

The Lincoln Highway sounds like an interesting read. I usually like to have one book I slowly devour and savour whilst speed-reading others, so glad you’re enjoying it this way!

I’m very much a mood reader, so it’s unusual for me to have planned my next book. Still, I have an idea! I think this is my first time ‘officially’ joining this

I didn’t think I’d like The Lincoln Highway but (although it seemed like an homage to Mark Twain) I wound up really enjoying it. Book lovers have to enjoy the little brother’s love of that book he carries around with him! My book group really enjoyed discussing it as well.
