Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I’m still happy with my progress through Running with Sherman by Christopher McDougall. I’ve got a few drives coming up that I think will help me push over the line in the next two weeks! I’m excited to wrap this one up, I think I’ll have some more historical fiction to fill the spot when it’s done.
I did alright with The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid especially during a work trip last week. It was easy to read a few pages while waiting for Ubers or at the airport. I’m liking this one so far!
I made great progress in Songs of Willow Frost by Jamie Ford while traveling. I’m over half way through already! This one has been really good and even though I jut hit a very sad moment, I’m excited to keep pushing ahead.
Recently finished: I was able to wrap up How the Mistakes Were Made by Tyler McMahon pretty quickly! It’s now back at the library and I owe y’all a review. I’m hoping to have time for that this weekend.
I did manage a review of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig that went up on Monday! I gave this one Four out of Five Stars. I think there were some things that were a bit too predictable, but I’m not sure if there’s something different I would have prefered instead.
Reading next: I’m thinking an audiobook will be next up for me and I need some time periods checked off my reading challenge. I’m going to take on Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantel to try and knock out the 1500-1699 time period. It’s a long one so might be a race to the finish line at the end of the year, but I’m up for it.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.

I admire you taking on Wolf Hall, although I loved it. I still haven’t found the reading space for the final book in the trilogy as it’s 800 pages long. I have a physical copy and the audiobook as it’s too heavy to carry around but that still involves 36 hours listening time.

I loved Wolf Hall and hope that you do too. It’s a long book so I can’t imagine how many hours that would be as an audio book Good Luck with finishing your reading challenge. I’m currently completing the 1900-1920 period with In Memoriam. My WWW post for this week is here https://witchyreading.wordpress.com/2023/11/01/www-wednesday-november-1/

Ooo, I very interested in what you think of Wolf Hall. It’s one of those books that I feel like I “ought” to have read, but it seems like serious literature!
Come see what I read (and made) this week http://sharondoubleknit.blogspot.com/2023/10/linky-wednesday-one-that-grew-fast.html

I listened to the abridged version of WolfHall last year for the challenge. I’m glad I went for that version as Dan Stevens read it beautifully plus it was significantly shorter at just over 7 hours rather than the full 25!!! I read Wolf Hall and the second book a while ago although physical books are long gone. I don’t think I loved it but earlier this year I borrowed it from library to re-read to see if my opinion had changed. It hadn’t. I didn’t finish it. I guess I’m just not a fan of her writing. Wolf Hall is excellent as is Bring Up the Bodies. Still haven’t fitted in the last in the trilogy! Hope you enjoy the audio.

I really enjoyed Wolf Hall. I would suggest, if you are not familiar with Tudor England, that you print out a list of characters so you can keep them straight as it is harder on audio to “page back” to help recall who they are. https://www.litcharts.com/lit/wolf-hall/characters
For another good audiobook, I recommend Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson which I am reading now. It is about the 1 percent but is quite entertaining. Here is my WWW:
