My 2016 NaNoWriMo Plans

11 Oct

November is creeping up on me! Yet again, I’m in class and have a final on November 16th. Because of this, I’m going to be waiting until after finals to start NaNoing. And, yet again, I’m going to edit. So my NaNoWriMo is NaNoEdHaMo (National Novel Editing Half Month).

I’m going to try to spend 30 minutes a day editing, but I’m also going to make the stretch goal of finishing editing the second half of my novel! I think I can do it, but this is slightly optimistic.

What are your NaNo plans? Anyone else out there editing? Let me know what you’ll be up to and we can cheer each other on!

Until next time, write on.

You can follow me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!

My friend was planning on editing for NaNo up until today when she said she had an idea for another book. I think it’s a good idea, we found loads of editing checklists etc to help her keep it goal orientated. I’ll be working on a non-fiction account of my anxiety and if I finish that (which I think I will) with time to spare I have an idea for a novel too šŸ™‚ – I’m very excited!

Good luck!! I’m also editing my novel-in-the-works .. and hopefully adding more to it. I’ve had such writers block lately so I’m hoping being forced to write will help šŸ˜Š

I’m taking a Creative Writing class in High School and we are doing NanoWriMo. I’m so excited to actually be able to do it this year!

That’s great! I’ve met a few teachers who were able to integrate NaNo into the curriculum. How lucky you have one! Happy writing!

I’m writing – this month has been my ‘edit manuscript so it’s ready for additions come NaNo’ since it’s not even at the halfway point. Good luck with your half month of editing, and I hope to still see you at some of the events!

I’m looking forward to them! Coming right off of school usually means I keep my discipline pretty well so I’m hopeful of buckling down and getting through it! Do you have an idea ready or are you pantsing it?
