Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: I did manage to pick up The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson for just a few pages. I woke up before the rest of the family and enjoyed it on my phone while everyone was sleeping. It wasn’t much but it was really nice.
I got nothing from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. My husband has been staying up later than me to finish a book and sometimes I’m jealous and want to join him, but sleep has been winning out.
Baby slept in the car and I managed to listen to some of The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott. I’m hoping I’m much closer to finishing this one than I was before. I thought it was almost over but now it seems I’m further from the end than I thought.
Recently finished: one or two more weeks? I feel like all I do is push this out. Oh geeze.
Reading next: I’ll start the year with Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie. I don’t think it’s going to happen this year.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

You’ve done well to get a bit of reading in, as Christmas and New Year aren’t great times to read, there’s always so much going on. Here’s to more opportunities in 2022 and here’s my link for this week: https://thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com/2021/12/29/www-wednesdays-29-12-21-happyshrugday%f0%9f%98%89-wwwwednesdays-secretlibrarybookblog/

Glad you managed to get some reading done! Horray for baby sleeping in the car! I just managed my reading challenge, but to be honest as long as you enjoy the book I don’t think that it matters how long it takes 🙂

❤️ no point in putting pressure on yourself. You do you and adjust the challenge accordingly ☺️ anyway spending time with your baby and sleeping is much more important ☺️
Happy reading and have an excellent New Year ☺️

As long as you enjoy your reading time when you get it, it doesn’t matter how long or how often.

I can never read around the holidays so I’m just gonna wait until the new year to start reading again.

For my 2019 birthday, my aunt gave me a print subscription to Town & Country magazine. I just took about a dozen issues, unread, to the recycling bin. I guiltily admitted to myself that if I haven’t gotten to them yet, I never will. There just isn’t time to read everything! So I understand how you feel when you realize you haven’t finished anything.
This week I’ve got two mysteries, #6 of a popular series and a classic standalone.

I gave up on magazine a few years ago myself. The only time I read them was while traveling because I could recycle them as I finished. Happy reading!

Finding time for reading is difficult for at this time of year but it must be especially difficult with a baby so well done for finding what little you did.
