Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: There was some good progress while on vacation, and some areas where I made very little progress. I didn’t listen to any of Wolf Hall by Hillary Mantel. I’m a bit nervous about finishing this before the end of the year! I’m going to have to make a focus on it.
I had to return The Puzzler by A.J. Jacobs to the library when I got home. Boo! I have a hold on it to try and get it back soon.
I picked up a used copy of The Escape Artist by Brad Meltzer for my trip. I had every intention of leaving it for my sister in law but didn’t have it with me when we parted ways. I’m glad in the end because the video screen for my seat was broken on the flight home and I ended up making good progress in it!
I started a new ebook which I need for my reading challenge. I started reading Servant of the Underworld by Aliette de Bodard. It hasn’t completely captured me yet, but I’m still early on!
Recently finished: I did have time to wrap up The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid just as the hold was expiring! I think I beat it by two hours. We’re starting to get back into a routine at home so I’m hoping to I can get a review up soon.
Reading next: No plans right now! I’m sure that will change as I feel like I’m nearing the end of one of my current reads. It just seems so far off right now.
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

I hope you had a good holiday. I gave up on Wolf Hall when I tried to re-read it earlier this year. I drafted my post last night and have tried to upload it from my phone (it’s early and I’m still in my cosy bed). So I hope it’s here: https://janni10.wordpress.com/2023/11/29/www-wednesday-29-11-2023/

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was a pick of one of the guests on BBC TV’s book programme, Between the Covers, so I’ll interested to read your review. It sounded like something I might enjoy.

I hope that you enjoyed your holiday. Good Luck with finishing Wolf Hall by the end of the year. I’ve not read this series by Aliette de Bodard but I have read her more recent Sci Fi books and loved them. What a pest you had to return your library book before you finished. I hope you don’t need to wait too long till it’s available again.

I think taking a rest from Wolf Hall is legitimate – I enjoyed it but was a 16th century history major so knew the players. It is a lot to keep straight otherwise. In fact, someone in my book group wanted us to read book 3 although many hadn’t read the first two and she was quite annoyed with me when I put my foot down. I thought that would spoil it for many! However, I read last week that the third will be dramatized soon with the same cast so that is good news.

Good luck with Wolf Hall – while it’s my favourite genre I actually DNF in the end!
