Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at Should be Reading and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Currently reading: No movement with La Sombra del Viento by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. It will come, I promise, but not just yet.
I’ve made some minor progress on Left Behind by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. It’s getting there, just taking longer than I thought. I’m about 60% done now and 10% of that was in the last week so don’t give up on my yet.
Will making my way through A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick. Not a huge fan so far. Science Fiction I like is rare so I’m not surprised by this one, but we’ll see how I like it when I’m done.
New audiobook to announce! I hope some of you will be happy to hear I started A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin! It’s too early for me to say how I’m feeling about it, but this will be here for a long time for me to give out my opinion.
Recently finished: I finished the audio for Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell on Friday. Look for a review coming soon!
I also picked up a copy of J.K. Rowling’s Very Good Lives. It’s a super short book and I read it in about a half hour, but totally worth picking up. I was proud that the man ringing me up at Barnes & Noble didn’t know about the book. I’m such a trendsetter, haha!
A few of you were asking for my review of Breakfast with Buddha by Roland Merullo. I posted it yesterday if you want to see what I thought.
Reading Next: It will be The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. I’ll start it as soon as I finish Scanner so hopefully it’s off this list next week!
Leave a comment with your link and a comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.
You can follow me on Goodreads, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram. I’m available via email at SamAStevensWriter@gmail.com. And as always, feel free to leave a comment!

I was able to start ‘The White Tiger’ early. The book has a very strong voice, I wonder if Ardiga does this in other books as well. Happy reading!

I already thought I saw you started The White Tiger the other day! I hope you will enjoy it better than I did… And A Game Of Thrones is definitely a book that needs some time to get through. I’ve read the first four books in the series and have the fifth one waiting for me, but somehow I cannot get myself to start another one right now. I think I have a love-hate relationship with them; I enjoy the story, but there are so many different characters and long descriptions that I cannot finish them without reading various other books in between.
Thanks for visiting my WWW post and happy reading! 🙂

I picked it up and changed Goodreads but I’m just now getting into it. With a 33 hour audio for GoT, I’m a bit intimidated! And this isn’t the longest one. We’ll see how this journey goes. Happy reading!

Wow that is an impressive amount of hours for an audiobook! It might work better though than reading the physical book; I guess the story is easier to enjoy when read or heard spread over a larger period of time… I will probably end up doing just that with the fifth book at some point.

I like it because I can read the physical books for my book club and still enjoy the book consistently. Hopefully this helps me get through the books faster!

Alicia at Caffeine and Books posted a solid WWW post today, and she left an amazing review of my book on there as well. Thus, I’m shamelessly promoting it here. Thanks for all you do to further the cause of great reading!

Good luck with Game of Thrones. Such a long book, but it was so good. I’ve been trying to finish book 5 since last year.

Looks like I got to your post a few minutes early, haha! I’ve heard only amazing things about GoT. I’m just intimidated by the length! The businessperson in me is thinking about the opportunity cost of other books by starting this one. I hope it flies by. happy reading!

I was definitely intimidated by the large page count before I started it, but it felt really good when I finally finished it.

I hope you like GOT, it’s a doozy, but once you’re hooked…you’re a goner! And how could someone at a book store NOT KNOW ABOUT JK’s NEW BOOK?!?!?!?!?! I very much need to get my hands on it. Anyway, here is my link: https://ilayreading.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/www-wednesday-4222015/
