Currently reading: I was able to keep going with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson again. I have to keep reminding myself that I’d rather read than scroll Instagram and it seems to be working!
Nothing again in True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. Print doesn’t seem to be a good medium for me right now. I’m not sure when I’ll get back to it again but I hope it’s not too long!
I was able to listen to a little bit from The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott. I’ve recovered from my cold and was able to start doing a little running, though it’s tough with how cold it’s been here! A warm Sunday let me get outside for a bit which was great.
Recently finished: I’m optimistic. Next week?
Reading next: I want to read Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie soon! I enjoy the narrator for this series a lot and I’m hoping it continues.

I always end up spending more time scrolling social media than I think I’m going to. I should follow your example and be more mindful about use of that downtime.

I keep uninstalling different social media apps from my phone just so I don’t have the constant distraction so easily available. It takes a lot more effort to pull everything up on the kindle or laptop somehow!

Social media can be a big grabber of time but it can be difficult to ignore given it’s now such a big part of the book community. I’m glad you’ve recovered from your cold.

Yay for reading rather than scrolling! I tend to do more reading on my phone as my toddler doesn’t get as curious! I found over lockdown that the library do an app so I have a nice range of books to choose from!

It is a true game changer. Not all books are on there of course but there is enough to keep you going! I didn’t really look into it until lockdown.

Social media is such a distraction. I hate it but can’t stop looking at it. Always makes me feel awful when I do. Reading a good book is so much better!
