The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Ghost

Currently reading: I did manage to pick up The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson for just a few pages. I woke up before the rest of the family and enjoyed it on my phone while everyone was sleeping. It wasn’t much but it was really nice.
I got nothing from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. My husband has been staying up later than me to finish a book and sometimes I’m jealous and want to join him, but sleep has been winning out.
Baby slept in the car and I managed to listen to some of The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott. I’m hoping I’m much closer to finishing this one than I was before. I thought it was almost over but now it seems I’m further from the end than I thought.

Recently finished: one or two more weeks? I feel like all I do is push this out. Oh geeze.

Reading next: I’ll start the year with Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie. I don’t think it’s going to happen this year.

Ghost

Currently reading: Maybe when we travel this week I’ll pick up The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. I don’t think I’ll get to it because we’ll be busy seeing family, but there’s an outside chance?
I didn’t read a page from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I was doing better with books when Baby was born but now that they go to sleep a little faster, I’m sacrificing reading time for sleep. I think most parents would agree that’s a good trade off.
I’m still moving in The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott  and hope to make some more moves this week! I’m enjoying this one a lot and I see the climax coming soon.

Recently finished: Maybe next week? I’ll be optimistic.

Reading next: I still plan on Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie and I’m hoping to start it before the end of the year, but nothing’s for sure yet.

Currently reading: I hope I still remember where I am in The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson when I can pick it up again. I was enjoying this one and I’d hate to feel lost in it.
I think I read two pages from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I’ll get to it eventually.
I made some good progress in The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott with a doctor’s appointment I had. It was far away and I had to make a long detour on the way home so this one is actually making some good progress!
Many of you expressed interest in me talking about the children’s books I read Baby each week. I’m trying to think of the best way to incorporate this so stay tuned!

Recently finished: I’m sure there will be something here eventually!

41JYZlm4QsL

Reading next: It’s looking like Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie might be my first book of 2022 instead of my final one of 2021. Nothing wrong with that! Though, I will be a bit sad not to have finished my reading challenge for the first time. There are other priorities this year, though!

Kelly

Currently reading: Absolutely nothing with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. This last week was absolutely nuts for no reason I can think of looking back. I’m just glad to have made it through!
I didn’t make progress with True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey either. As I’ve said before, I’m not sure when my physical reading will pick up again, but it’s not going to be the immediate future!
I did listen to a little bit of The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott on the one run I was able to do. I’m still enjoying it and I think this is the one book I’ll continue to make progress in.

Recently finished: Yet again, nothing this week. I’ve thought about putting together a list of all the kids books I read each week but I don’t feel justified counting those toward my Goodreads challenge for the year.

41JYZlm4QsL

Reading next: I still plan on Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie but I’m guessing I won’t start this one until 2022 at the rate I’m going. Better late than never?

Ghost

Currently reading: I wish I could say I read something from The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson but I’d be lying. I did have a great week with Baby, so I’m not complaining!
Nothing more in True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey. I think we’re close to sleeping in different rooms so maybe I’ll be able to get a few pages each night once that happens. But I’m not rushing it, I love having all of us in one room!
I made progress in The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott during my runs. Though, I do plan to slow those down a bit now that my Turkey Trot is over (it went great, by the way!). I still think audio will be my fastest format, but maybe not as fast as it was before.

Recently finished: Nothing new here this week but I’m not surprised. I’ll get some more books finished eventually.
I published my review of The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda on Monday so please check that out when you get a minute. I enjoyed it and gave the book Four out of Five Stars.

41JYZlm4QsL

Reading next: I’m fairly certain I wont’ finish my reading challenge this year, but I’ll try! I’ll plan on picking up Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie as my next book. If I don’t finish it until after the new year, I’ll consider it a jump start on my 2022 challenge!
