23 Mar

Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.

Currently reading: I don’t think I read any of The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson again. I wish this book grabbed me more so I had a reason to push forward with it, but it hasn’t demanded my attention as some have.
I read a chapter from True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey which felt great! I’d love to make more progress with this one since I’ve enjoyed it a lot. Hopefully I can keep that up.
The weather has finally started to turn warm so I’ve been able to listen to Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie while running consistently. I’m so close! I know I’ll have this one finished next week.

Recently finished: I’m feeling confident I’ll have something next week!

51FUsCV0vdLReading next: I’ll get to A House at the Bottom of a Lake by Josh Malerman. Eventually
I’m really hopeing I’ll start Where the Light Enters by Sara Donati next week. It seems like a good time to start a nice long audiobook.

Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.

Have any opinions on these choices?

Until next time, write on.

I don’t know how you feel about putting aside books unfinished (I must admit I find it difficult) but I wonder if you’d considered ditching The Girl With Ghost Eyes if you’re not enjoying it that much so you can concentrate on your other books?

Yay for warmer weather! We went out for a walk yesterday in just a t-shirt and jumper 😱

🤞 You get a book finished. Still, as I’ve said previously, just spreading the joy for longer 😊

Enjoying longer does mean I remember the beginning a little less vividly haha. I hope my reviews are still thorough. Happy reading!

I didn’t think of that 🤣 I tend to only read a max of 3 books at a time in case I get lost and/or confused 😂

The warmer weather in Boston comes and goes – I see my daffodils are appearing but it went down to freezing last night which they do not appreciate.

I have enjoyed early Sara Donati but didn’t love the new series. Here is my WWW:

I am really enjoying the Orphan X audio with Scott Brick.

Don’t you love it when the weather gets nice and you can get outside more? I also listen to audiobooks when I’m walking the neighborhood or at the gym. https://teripolen.com/2022/03/23/www-wednesday-what-am-i-reading-amreading-71/

    • Sam March 24, 2022 at 5:19 AM #

I got a lot of audiobook time when Baby was small and I’d take them on walks so they’d nap. Maybe we can still do that this summer? Happy reading!

For some reason, I ended up having a great reading week. Unexpected.

    Good luck with your books!

Progress over perfection! I only recently (embarrassingly) discovered the power of reading a chapter at a time. I mean, it’s like the writers intended us to absorb specific chunks of their story / information. I’m so ridiculous but accepting that has really allowed me to work my way through books I wouldn’t normally finish. I love seeing your progress on Kelly Gang!
