Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived here on Taking on a World of Words. Just answer the three questions below and leave a link to your post in the comments for others to look at. No blog? No problem! Just leave a comment with your responses. Please, take some time to visit the other participants and see what others are reading. So, let’s get to it!
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
Note: For users of Blogspot blogs, I’m unable to comment on your posts as a WordPress blogger unless you’ve enabled Name/URL comments. This is a known WordPress/Blogspot issue. Please consider enabling this to participate more fully in the community.
Currently reading: Absolutely nothing with The Girl with Ghost Eyes by M.H. Boroson. This last week was absolutely nuts for no reason I can think of looking back. I’m just glad to have made it through!
I didn’t make progress with True History of The Kelly Gang by Peter Carey either. As I’ve said before, I’m not sure when my physical reading will pick up again, but it’s not going to be the immediate future!
I did listen to a little bit of The Ghosts of Eden Park by Karen Abbott on the one run I was able to do. I’m still enjoying it and I think this is the one book I’ll continue to make progress in.
Recently finished: Yet again, nothing this week. I’ve thought about putting together a list of all the kids books I read each week but I don’t feel justified counting those toward my Goodreads challenge for the year.
Reading next: I still plan on Tabula Rasa by Ruth Downie but I’m guessing I won’t start this one until 2022 at the rate I’m going. Better late than never?
Leave a comment with your link and comment (if you’re so inclined). Take a look at the other participant links in the comments and look at what others are reading.
Have any opinions on these choices?
Until next time, write on.

You could still put the children’s books on here without putting them on your Goodreads list? Enjoy whatever you are reading and here is my WWW for this week https://devoil.wordpress.com/2021/12/08/www-wednesday-8th-december/

That’s a thought! I’ll try to think through the best ways to share some children’s books here. Some of them are really worthy of being shared. Happy reading!

Kids book do count! If they’re on Goodreads they go towards your challenge! But I know what you mean, because they are so short. Seriously though you’re reading them. Anyway here’s my link this week: https://thesecretlibrarysite.wordpress.com/2021/12/08/www-wednesdays-08-12-21-happyshrugday%f0%9f%98%89-wwwwednesdays-secretlibrarybookblog/

It just seems unfair to count a book I read in give minutes the same as I count Game of Thrones lol. Happy reading!

Pretty sure those who write the kids books would think that they count, so go ahead and count them!

That’s a really good way of thinking about it! I guess it doesn’t feel like it’s in line with the goal I originally set out for myself. I still want to track and recognize the books Baby reads, though. Happy reading!

I agree with the others here that you should count your children’s books! If you don’t want to count them towards your “official” reading goals, maybe have a separate goal or separate list for them? I think it would be fun!

Finding time to physically read can be so tough! I have a toddler running round so audio is a no no for me too. I never thought of putting down the books I read to him! I think that still counts as reading! Goodreads does do Children’s books as I have a little shelf for him on my app. A lot of his books aren’t on there, but it’s nice that some are!
